JMS: We procure good quality second hand components and spares from Alang based on pre purchase inspection. If desired by the client or if deemed necessary we try and carry out complete overhaul, replacement of worn parts and supply with process guarantee, in additional to the usual product guarantee.

Q: Do you help in commissioning and installation on board?
JMS: Yes we do help our clients to get them installed on board. A marine engineer from our team would visit the site and personally monitor installation of such equipment .The travel and boarding of the technical consultant from our team will have to be borne by the company.

Q: How are you different from other vendors at Alang?
JMS: Well our team /directors are all marine engineers who have enough experience to judge, assess and supply as per the query raised by the client. Also, we send reports such as condition assessment, overhauling and testing along with the product we are supplying. Q: Do you provide technical consultancy separately in case we wish to procure machine /spares from some other vendor?

In case any consultancy or aid is required for getting class approval of any component, we could also arrange the same.

Q: Do you provide guarantee for the product supplied?
JMS: Absolutely!! We provide process guarantee of the various overhauls, inspection and assessment carried out. We do provide guarantee on the product supplied also but since we practice ethical business practices, the tenure of such guarantee is dependent solely on the condition of the machinery supplied. JMS: Yes we agree that our prices are marginally higher. Here we would like to make a point that there are none or very few vendors who possess the technical expertise for assessing the condition of machinery prior to the purchase. As a value addition we ensure that the spares/parts being supplied are in suitable condition. This is extremely important as shipping industry is marked with operational and time constraints necessitating quality service primarily because of the stakes involved. We only charge marginally higher to ensure smooth and hassles free operation of the vessels by providing the best.

Q: Many a time the product is being sold at extremely low price?
JMS: Sorry. But we would warn you to carry out detailed pre purchase inspection as there is high possibility of the machine being in poor condition. As a policy we only deal in machines which can be overhauled ,reconditioned and used on board ships or industry.
