Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Buying a Yacht is an appealing proposition but where do I park it?
JMS: Well considering that your resort is established by the side of river/beach, parking is not an issue. A dedicated parking bay can be made with a simple arrangement such as a small bridge or stairs for boarding the yacht. JMS will be more than eager to provide services for the construction/arrangement of the same.

Q: Suppose, I buy the Yacht but how do I ensure its registration and other compliance to the Government Rules?
JMS: The Yacht will be registered on the owner’s name and will be provided with an initial survey by us. The owner need not worry about these hassles. You just need to shove your Jalsa in water to enjoy the seas!!!

Q: What about the maintenance and annual surveys of the Yacht as I don’t have the expertise to deal in these matters?
JMS: We provide free service to all the customers for free maintenance and repair till the time of first annual survey (including the successful clearance of first survey). However, extension of such services (beyond 1 year) will be chargeable at a reasonable annual contractual fee.

Q: I am interested in buying the Jalsa Yacht but I don’t have the necessary trained manpower to handle it?
JMS: We will provide initial training and reference manual for handling the Jalsa Yacht free of any charges. We also provide trained manpower with due certification for the regular operation of these vessels. However, the cost of such manpower will be solely on owner’s account.

Q: The price of luxurious Jalsa Yacht is very tempting for a buyer but how much amount will I have to incur on fuel?
JMS: Absolutely right. Keeping in mind the high fuel costs incurred on usual yachts, Jalsa Series of Yachts have been designed with those specifications which ensure maximum engine efficiency. To further cut down the fuel cost, we have designed the yacht with a sail, which can be maneuvered to run it. The engine is being provided for entering the deep waters and for speed enthusiasts. It may be used as and when required. Moreover, the ‘real joy of sailing’ comes when the yacht is maneuvered by sail.

Q: What if desire to have additional facilities in my cabin?
JMS: You are most welcome. At the time of placing the order you may provide us with your requirements for the cabin furnishing/interiors. It is our policy to customize the cabin as per requirements laid down by the owner to the minutest details possible.

Q: How I can be sure that my yacht is safe and stable?
JMS: The yacht will be certified as per Govt regulations and would be registered under the Inland Vessels Act. The Jalsa Yachts have been designed after several sea trials and provided with all the Fire Fighting and Life saving Appliances. The specifications of the hull and machinery of the yacht have been calculated by our team of Marine Engineers to take care of all the sea adversities. There is nothing unsafe about it. Just relax and chill out!!

Q: What is the average lifespan of my yacht?
JMS: The yachts have been constructed with reinforced Fibre Plastic which has gone through stringent testing. The average lifespan of a yachts hull is minimum of 15 years. If maintained properly, it is highly likely that your yacht will accompany you for 25-30 years.

Question: Is it possible for me to install an engine of a higher power?
JMS: Yes it is. But the fuel economy and the initial cost of installation will suffer. The engine installed by us guarantees best possible fuel economy for the size of the yacht ordered.
